1. Business service and parties
CiteAngle is operated by ARTIFEX Co,. Ltd. (Korean registered name: 주식회사 아티펙스; business registration number: 239-88-03748) (“CiteAngle,” “we,” or “us”). The service is offered only to companies, organizations, and sole proprietors acting for business purposes. The person accepting a proposal or placing an order represents that they have authority to bind that customer.
Questions may be sent to mktartifex@artiaudit.com.
2. Scope and deliverables
Each signed statement of work, proposal, or order identifies the market, region, query set, search and AI surfaces, observation window, repeat count, implementation tasks, review rounds, delivery format, schedule, and acceptance criteria. CiteAngle performs that agreed measurement, preserves the cited evidence and conditions, delivers the report or implementation artifacts, and performs any expressly included remeasurement.
A result is classified separately as measurement failure, surface non-appearance, brand absence, brand mention, source citation, or downstream business outcome. A mention or citation is recorded only when the captured response satisfies the published rule for that class. Changes are reported as observed differences under the stated conditions; external model, index, interface, and ranking changes are timestamped where material. The public methodology forms part of the measurement specification in effect on the order date.
3. Customer responsibilities
The customer will provide authorized access, accurate brand and market information, timely approvals, and lawful source material. The customer must not submit passwords, payment-card data, government identifiers, health information, biometrics, confidential customer lists, or other sensitive personal data in prompts or project uploads. Delays caused by missing access or approvals move the delivery date by the corresponding period.
4. USD pricing, tax review, and payment
US engagements are quoted and charged in US dollars after the B2B scope has been reviewed. The signed proposal or order states the price, payment milestones, due date, and any approved expenses. Each order receives a project-specific tax review before proposal approval; applicable sales, use, withholding, VAT, or similar taxes are handled as stated in that document.
There is no live checkout or recurring subscription on the website. If online payment is activated, PortOne V2 is the planned orchestration layer and PayPal Smart Payment Buttons (SPB) is the planned USD payment method for US orders; activation, processor approval, payment instructions, and the final available method are confirmed in the proposal or invoice. CiteAngle never converts a free service into a paid recurring charge.
5. Start, cancellation, and refunds
“Work start” means the first contracted query run, data collection, implementation change, or analyst production task recorded against the order. A cancellation received before work starts receives a full refund of amounts paid. After work starts, CiteAngle refunds the amount allocated in the order to unstarted milestones or undelivered divisible portions; completed work and non-cancelable third-party costs expressly approved by the customer remain payable. Delivery of one milestone does not make an unstarted later milestone non-refundable. The written cancellation timestamp controls.
After a Report is delivered, the fee allocated to that Report is earned and is not refundable for a change of mind, changed priorities or budget, non-use, subjective dissatisfaction, or an external result not included in the written Acceptance Criteria. “Delivered” means CiteAngle makes the Report accessible through the agreed channel and sends the authorized contact a delivery notice. The inspection period verifies conformity with the written Acceptance Criteria; it is not a convenience-cancellation period.
The customer has 10 business days after delivery to identify in writing the specific Acceptance Criterion not met and supporting evidence. CiteAngle will first correct or re-perform a timely reported material nonconformity at no charge within 10 business days after notice, or another reasonable period agreed in writing. If the affected Deliverable remains materially nonconforming after that cure period, CiteAngle will refund the fee allocated to the affected, uncured Deliverable. A latent material nonconformity that could not reasonably have been discovered during inspection must be reported promptly after discovery and no later than 30 calendar days after delivery. Duplicate or incorrect payment, non-delivery attributable to CiteAngle, an unearned prepayment when CiteAngle terminates without customer breach, and non-waivable rights remain exceptions. Refunds return through the original rail when available, subject to verified recipient and compliance checks.
6. Intellectual property and use
CiteAngle retains its pre-existing methods, software, templates, scoring rules, and generalized know-how. After full payment, the customer may use delivered reports and customer-specific artifacts throughout its organization and with its professional advisers. Customer materials and marks remain the customer’s property. Any public case study, logo use, or identifiable benchmark requires separate written permission.
7. Data and communications
Personal information is handled under the US Privacy Notice. Transactional messages about account security, proposals, delivery, and contracted work are part of service performance. Marketing email requires a separate opt-in and always includes a working opt-out. Customer phone identity verification is not part of the service.
8. Responsibility and claim process
Each party is responsible for its own unlawful conduct, infringement, fraud, willful misconduct, and confidentiality breach. For other claims, each party’s aggregate liability arising from an order is limited to the fees paid or payable for that order. This limit does not apply where applicable law prohibits it. A party must promptly describe a claimed delivery defect and allow the cure period stated in the order.
9. Contract order and governing law
The documents control in this order if they conflict: a mutually signed master agreement; the signed statement of work or order form; the accepted proposal or quote; these terms; then the public methodology. The governing law and dispute forum stated in the signed order control. If the order is silent, the laws of the Republic of Korea apply, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the parties first attempt good-faith business resolution before filing a claim in the court with jurisdiction over CiteAngle’s registered office.
We post the effective date with every revision. Material changes apply prospectively unless the customer expressly accepts them for an existing order.
